How your yoga practice can help you 'Create Space' emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Oct 10, 2022

"I give up freely what is no longer serving me, I release it to create space for what inspires me."

Your yoga practice has the ability to transform your way of thinking, your belief systems and help you start to unlock inspiration that is leading you on the path of your life's purpose.

How?

By creating space and stillness in your mind, body, and spirit long enough that you disconnect from your monkey mind and this rat race we call life, and tap you into the deepest part of yourself, the eternal you, your Gii- Dhuwi (heart & spirit).

Take a moment now just to close your eyes and connect to your breath. Take deep breath into the belly, then really slow the exhale down, relaxing your whole body when you do....

Then repeat x2 more times.....

Now, you are here and now. Forget about what you 'should' be doing, just be here now, reading this email about how your yoga practice can help you transform your stress, anger, anxiety, pain, (whatever it is that you're dealing with), into more peace, fulfilment, joy, happiness, and freedom.

You're probably thinking, "I'd love to practice yoga, I just don't have time!!

If it's important to you, you'll make the time. You'll get out of bed a little earlier because you are worth it. You deserve to show up for yourself, and you deserve to feel happier, healthier, stronger, because it's your birth right.

It's time to go back to old ways and ancient practices in order to live a healthy and fulfilling life in this modern world. Just start with a non-negotiable 10mins every single morning then increase from there. 20-30mins a day is all you need to release the tension from your body, smooth the nervous system, create emotional balance and spiritual connection.

Set your alarm in the morning. You're worth it!

When you take the time to consistently show up for your daily yoga practice, you create space, and are constantly guiding yourself back to your true nature, and connecting back to the essence of who you truly are which is unconditional love.

Lets recap the eight-fold path of yoga;

(1) Control of the inner senses (yama),

(2) Control of the outer senses (niyama),

(3) Regulation of the posture (asana),

(4) Regulation of the breath (pranayama),

(5) Control of the mind (prathyahara),

(6) Concentration or single-mindedness (dharana),

(7) Meditation on the Divine (dhyana),

(8) Complete absorption into the reality (samadhi).

 Once you start to master each of the eight limbs or branches of yoga, you can then take your practice off the mat and into your daily life, tapping into your unlimited potential.

There's this really cool quote I love by Lao Tzu and its;

"Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power."
