The body is the Barometer of the Soul- What is your body whispering to you?

Jul 23, 2022

Recovering from surgery is no joke, but our bodies are truly amazing and I'm super grateful for my body's healing abilities.

Once again, my body was whispering to me to slow down, prioritise, rest more, blah blah blah, and I ignored it, until it started yelling and put me in a hospital bed... again, lol.

I'm one of these people that need a universal kick up the arse before I actually pay attention and listen.

Are you like this too? Or is it just me?

Anyways, I've become really disciplined with my meditation practice (which I always do when these things happen)...  I guess it's my way of making it up to Spirit/Universe, promising I'll be a good girl and listen from now on!

But in reality, I'm a runner. Whenever I am going through a tough time and when life gets rough, my first instinct is to run, go walkabout, move, do CrossFit, boxing, lift weights, and release all the negative emotion through lots of sweat, blood and tears.

We keep riding the merry-go-round until we finally break the pattern and learn the lesson spirit is trying to teach us. What if there is a different way?

Movement, or action (such as the releasing emotion through sweat, blood, and tears), is the masculine aspect within us. I feel like we are moving into a time where we really need to cultivate the feminine aspects of ourselves.

We need nurturance, sensitivity, sweetness, supportiveness, gentleness, warmth, passivity, cooperativeness, expressiveness, modesty, humility, empathy, affection, tenderness, and being emotional, kind, helpful, devoted, and understanding.

We need to open our hearts and be vulnerable, to be comfortable in stillness and to be okay with leaning into feelings of sadness, grief, shame and guilt. As women, these feelings are ingrained within every cell of our being that have been passed down to us intergenerationally.

We are living through a time of deep healing, and it is our responsibility to look deep within ourselves and to soften the places that have become hard. To pull down the walls we built to protect ourselves. To put our hands on our heart, and say; "I am safe, I am loved, I am protected, and everything is ok."

You see, our mind, body and spirit are communicating in every moment. When we allow our thoughts to take over without really listening and understanding the emotions, they become unexpressed, repressed or suppressed, creating blockages in our body manifesting into dis-ease or physical symptoms. We become disconnected from our true nature and feel unease in the body.

Notice where you feel tension or pain in your body. Acknowledge when you are experiencing negative emotions. Don't run from it, run towards it, be with it, feel it, heal it. You got this sis. X

Loads of love, light and epic vibes,

Pain is part of the process of growth. Every experience shapes us, even the difficult ones. Each part of the journey has a purpose, and when we take responsibility for our healing, we rise stronger and more aligned.
