In this calm state, the nervous system settles and the brain enters slower brainwaves, making the subconscious more open and receptive. This allows new intentions and healthier patterns to be gently introduced, supporting emotional balance, reduced stress, and deep restoration over time.
Day Five: Yoga Nidra
Conscious Sleep-Reprogramming your subconscious
with Charlie Abra
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation often called yogic sleep, where the body deeply relaxes while the mind stays gently aware.
Here are some tips if this is your
first time practicing Yoga Nidra:
Get comfortable and supported
Set yourself up so you don’t need to move. Use cushions, blankets, or an eye pillow. The more supported your body feels, the easier it is to fully relax.
Let go of “doing it right”
There’s nothing to achieve in Yoga Nidra. If your mind wanders or you drift in and out of awareness, that’s completely normal. Just keep listening and allow the practice to unfold.
Stay curious, not forceful
You may feel deeply relaxed, emotional, or even fall asleep, all of it is okay. Trust that your body and nervous system are receiving exactly what they need.
