Do you let your 'FEELINGS' determine your actions?

You've let your feelings determine your actions, then you beat yourself up because you didn't do the 'thing' that you set out to do.
Am I right? How do we break this pattern of letting our feelings and emotions determine our actions?
Firstly, lets get clear on what they are.
Our feelings are the conscious experience felt in the body from emotional reactions. Emotions are chemical reactions from a thought, and thoughts are programmed to past experiences, culture as well as environment.
To break the habit of letting your feelings and emotions determine your actions, you need to get clear on your core values and align every action with your values and not your feelings.
Here are some examples of core values. Read through the list, maybe meditate on the list and find your five core values to live by.

- Freedom
- Security
- Loyalty
- Intelligence
- Connection
- Creativity
- Humanity
- Discipline
- Joy
- Courage
- Balance
- Compassion
- Excellence
- Health
- Respect
Place your core values where you will see them every morning when you wake up, and when you 'don't feel like it,' read your core values to yourself out loud!
THEN...
Take ACTION despite how you are feeling, because you owe it to yourself to do what you set out to do and to accomplish your goals and dreams.
