As I'm writing this, I am sitting having a coffee staring at the whitest gum trees I have ever seen at the spiritual heart of our nation, Uluru.

This place is magical, and the energy you feel runs deep. You can't help but feel it vibrate through your entire being. 

Yesterday, me and the Banaga-y Biruu team ran on the sacred lands of the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara people. No music in our ears, just the sounds of this beautiful country, the sound of our feet hitting the red sand, as we connected to Mother Earth.

You can feel the sacredness and the Ancient wisdom this place holds, and as I was running, I kept imagining our ancestors journeying across this vast land. 

Sometimes we forget we are walking in two worlds. We become so disconnected from the natural world, the spiritual world, and we get caught up in the materialism and the hustle and bustle. 

Running on country for me, is a way to clear my head and connect back to the natural world. To empty myself enough so that I align myself with spirit, to clear the channels so I can hear her whispers.

It took three years to get here, to the heart of our nation. Lots of hurdles, setbacks, cancellations, blood, sweat, and tears. But it was all worth it. The journey to the sacred, spiritual heart of our nation was never going to be easy!

It had to be earned! You don’t just get a free ticket to something that is so sacred. I believe the setbacks and the struggles were initiations placed on our path by spirit. And we will be forever grateful for the the experience that will be with us for a lifetime. 

We've watched the sunset on Uluru, watching it turn from red to a deep purple. We've watched the sunrise, listening to the sounds of silence being filled only with sounds of wildlife. We've breathed in the cleanest and freshest air...

This place has left a deep imprint in our mind, our heart and our spirit. 

Today the boys are heading to Kata Tjuta, and us girls are heading back to Uluṟu to bathe in her energy.
